There is a cost to living our lives from the space of apology, never touching what belongs to us because we’re afraid of who we’ll offend or leave behind. On this soulful journey we cannot exist in that realm, evading our ownership because it may cause others to isolate us, may cause our families to disown us, may cause our children to doubt us, may cause our husbands to castigate us, may cause our coworkers to gossip about us. Who do you think you are, stepping into yourself so boldly? A woman with an empire in her womb, not willing to see it metastacize into a vat of fibroids or a life of mental illness created by apologizing for having dreams and a vision for herself.

Do not facilitate through your journey with apology for how it’s caused you to believe in yourself, how it’s given sets you apart, for how it distinguishes you. There is nothing “humble” about apologizing for how you carry yourself when your stance, discernment, and disposition are authoritative, assertive, and unapologetically unique. The execution of your purpose demands that you extricate shame from yourself. The woman you will be demands that do not bow your spine to accommodate those who can’t fathom your heights. Don’t apologize for wanting more, being more, doing more, or believing there is more.

Take apology from your being.
