Nakumbuka means “I remember” in Swahili. Remembering as a stance, posture and sojourning disposition makes you a threat to the violent systems around you, because you cannot be fooled, distracted, tricked or deceived out of your birthright.
The woman on the notepad is “The Cartographer”: a reminding artefact that you must remember it is your role to map the way through memory that leads to revelation and indictment, sojourner.
